Jammu, 12 February: The first T-10 Vice Chancellor cricket tournament presentation ceremony concluded at Main Campus Chatha of SKUAST-Jammu. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Dr. J.P. Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion who distributed trophies among the winning and 1st runner up team. Final match was held between the Students and Daily Wagers team which was won by the later under the captainship of Mr. Devinder Singh Happy. Hon’ble VC emphasized on the importance of sports to develop leadership qualities among the participants. He also encouraged the runner up team by saying a quote that it is more important to participate in sports rather than winning as it boosts the positivity in one’s attitude. Other dignitaries present were Dean FBSc., Dr. SEH Rizvi, Director Education Dr. S.K. Gupta, Dean Students Welfare Dr. Rajesh Katoch and President Teaching Association Dr. Vikas Sharma. Organising committee members Mr. Kewal Raina, Mr. Niraj Gupta, and Mr. Divyansh Verma thanked Honble VC and faculty members for sparing their valuable time for boosting the morale of players.
