Leopard finally captured in Srinagar after 5 days

People finally had a sigh of relief after a leopard was captured by wildlife department from a locality in the summer capital, Srinagar.

The wild animal was first seen on December 29 in Bagh-e-Mehtab colony of Srinagar outskirts. However, wildlife department officials immediately reached the spot to capture the leopard. Two officials of the department were injured before the wild animal escaped.

 

 

Video of the leopard jumping fences in the residential colony went viral on social media.

The department issued a advisory to residents of Bagh-e-Mehtab and adjoining areas not to venture out and remain on alert on Tuesday after the leopard could not be found.

However, a team of wildlife department remain deployed in the locality and finally today the wild animal was found in an abandon house.

The animal was tranquilized and captured by the wild department team.
