A report was lodged at PP Canal by a lady namely Dr Manju Tikku R/o Bhagwati Nagar regarding chain snatching near Pawan Ice Cream by two bikers.. On the consecutive day after this a similar incident was reported by another lady namely Santosh Bakshi R/o Talab Tillo. On this, two cases bearing FIR No. 133/2020 and FIR No. 135/2020 respectively were registered at Police station Nowabad.
On this special police teams headed by SHO P/S Nowabad Insp. Deepak Jasrotia assisted by IC PP Canal road SI Ravinder Singh and IC PP Talab Tillo SI Kali Charan were formed. Police teams connected the various links and finally using the CCTV footages from the area of crime, two suspects namely Avinash Sharma S/o Om Parkash R/o Garhi Udhampur and Momin Mukhtar S/o Abdul Gani R/o Gujral Basti Duru were taken into custody and on questioning suspects confessed their crime.
On their disclosure two gold chain weight 45 grams worth Rs. 2 lakh and motorcycle hunk RR NO.JK14C 9081 was recovered. Further investigation of the case is going on.
