J&K: 2 JeM terrorist associates arrested in Awantipora

The Jammu and Kashmir police today arrested two Jash-e-Mohammad terrorist associates from South Kashmir’s Awantipora district.

In a official statement, the police said, two terrorists associates of outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad were arrested from Tral and Pampore area.

They said that the duo was involved in providing shelter, support, logistics as well as in transporting of arms and ammunition in the area and passing sensitive information to the terrorists of outfit JeM.

The arrested terrorist associates have been identified as Bilal Ahmad Chopan resident of Wagad Tral and Mursaleen Bashir Sheikh resident of Chatlam Pampore, police officials said in a statement.

The police further added that incriminating material has also been recovered from both the arrested persons.

Meanwhile, a case stands registered against the said arrested persons in Police Station Tral and Police Station Pampore respectively under relevant sections of the law, police said.
