Jammu & Kashmir: Bridge washed away due to heavy rains; Locals allege poor quality material used

Heavy rains in Jammu and Kashmir has caused a bridge to collapse. This bridge connected 200 villages in Jammu. After the wash down, the locals have alleged that the government of making use of poor material to construct the bridge. The bridge has broken into two parts.

The poor quality of construction is exposed. This incident took place on 26th August. Times Network’s Pradeep Dutta says the floods washed away the bridge. The locals were on the street and saw the incident in reality. The locals said the design of the bridge was faulty. The government is currently investigating this matter and the people responsible for the construction should be questioned further.
