JPDCL must provide uninterrupted power to Jammu people: Sat

Many residents hailing from Rajpura and Shiv Nagar of  Ward 33, Jammu West Assembly segment who are facing severe problem of electricity in their areas including frequent power cuts and low voltage called upon Former President BJP J&K Sat Sharma (CA) and demanded for a stable and long lasting solution to their problems which they have been facing from quite some time. Pertinent to mention, the locals demanded for a new or upgraded transformer in their area to overcome the problem.

Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that the demand of residents is totally genuine and their problem needs immediate solution as from some time they have been facing the acute shortage of power which has created a chaos type situation for the inhabitants.

He said that he has spoken to concerned officials of JPDCL (Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited) and they have been told to put the area on utmost priority and install a new transformer or upgrade the existing one so that the load of the area can be handled properly. Sharma also said that he has also received numerous calls from many other areas of Jammu Province as well regarding the problem of power in their areas for which he has notified the authorities of JPDCL to look over all problems of power persisting in various areas of Jammu province.

He also stated that in Jammu West where the problem of power persists is being handled and majority areas in the Assembly Constituency have proper power supply for which JPDCL is appreciated for their work done.
