“Tianga” was hoisted by Bharatiya Janata Party, Jammu & Kashmir leaders at nearly 350 prominent places across the region on the occasion of 1st Anniversary of Articles 370 & 35(a) abrogation.
“Tiranga” was hoisted at nearly 300 places in Jammu region and nearly 40 places in Kashmir region at places like BJP offices, Mandal Offices, in Wards and other prominent places like Chowks and rotaries inviting the participation from prominent civil society members. Besides these places, BJP activists also hoisted “Tiranga” at their rooftops with full fervor and celebrated the 1st Anniversary of Articles 370 & 35(a) abrogation.
Large gatherings at all the places were deliberately avoided by BJP as far as possible to keep proper social distancing during the celebrations.
BJP National Vice-President & Prabhari J&K BJP Avinash Rai Khanna, accompanied by J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina hoisted 110 feet long “Tiranga” at Shyama Prasad Mookherjee Chowk, Kathua. Ravinder Raina also garlanded the Statue of Shyama Prasad Mookherjee. Party General Secretary & former Minister Dr. DK Manyal, Spokesperson & former Minister Rajiv Jasrotia, President Municipal Council Kathua Naresh Sharma, Vice-President MC Kathua Rekha Kumari, DP Raghunandan Singh Bablu, Gopal Mahajan, Thakur Ranjit Singh, Municipal Committee Hiranagar Vijay Sharma, Jangbir Singh, Janak Bharti, Religious and social organization heads were also present.
Ravinder Raina along with Dr. DK Manyal, District President Amar Singh and others also garlanded Statue of Maharaja Hari Singh ji and hoisted “Tiranga” at Veer Bhumi Park, Samba
Avinash Rai Khanna narrated that how Shyama Prasad Mookherjee entered Kathua with so many efforts to break Permit system and to achieve the dream of “Ek Nishan, Ek Vidhan, Ek Pradhan”. He recalled that Mookherjee ji addressed a huge gathering at that time at this very place and now his dream stands fulfilled.
Ravinder Raina said that with the abrogation of controversial Articles, the undue Kashmiri dominance has been broken. He said that today the terrorists are being neutralized, corruption is being and the J&K is fast progressing towards development. He also remembered all the sacrifices by party activists, security personnels and common masses to achieve the aim and said that BJP has kept its promise.

At party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, Former BJP State President & former Dy. CM Nirmal Singh, former BJP State President & MP from Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha Constituency Jugal Kishore Sharma, former BJP State President & former Minister Sat Sharma CA, former Dy. CM Kavinder Gupta, party Vice-President Yudhvir Sethi and other senior party leaders hoisted the “Tiranga”.
BJYM hoisted “Tiranaga” at Dogra Chowk.
BJP General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul hoisted “Tiranga” at City Chowk along with Yudhvir Sethi, Priya Sethi, Baldev Singh Billawaria and others.
At Kachi Chawni party office former President Sat Sharma, Ashok Kaul, Arvind Gupta and others hoisted “Tiranga”.
Former President Ashok Khajuria hoisted “Tiranga” at Kanak Mandi.
Ashok Kaul also hoisted “Tiranga” at various locations at Talab Tillo, Jammu. Similarly all the senior party leaders hoisted “Tiranga” at all the prominent places across the region.
