Amitabh Bachchan tests negative for Covid-19, discharged from hospital: Abhishek

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has tested negative for coronavirus and has been discharged from the hospital, informed his son Abhishek on Twitter.

“My father, thankfully, has tested negative on his latest Covid-19 test and has been discharged from the hospital. He will now be at home and rest. Thank you all for all your prayers and wishes for him,” Abhishek Bachchan tweeted.

However, Abhishek Bachchan due to some comorbidities remains in the hospital as the actor is still positive for coronavirus.

“I, Unfortunately, due to some comorbidities remain Covid-19 positive and remain in hospital. Again, thank you all for your continued wishes and prayers for my family. Very humbled and indebted. I’ll beat this and come back healthier! Promise,” he said in a second tweet.

Amitabh and Abhishek were admitted to Nanavati hospital after they tested positive for Covid-19 on July 11.

After testing negative for coronavirus, Amitabh said he’s ‘back home in solitary quarantine’. The actor also thanked his fans and friends for their blessings.

“I have tested CoVid- have been discharged. I am back home in solitary quarantine. Grace of the Almighty, blessings of Ma Babuji, prayers & duas of near & dear & friends fans EF .. and the excellent care and nursing at Nanavati made it possible for me to see this day (sic),” senior Bachchan tweeted.

Abhishek’s wife, actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, 46, and eight-year-old daughter Aaradhya were discharged from the hospital on Monday after testing negative for Covid-19.
