Ishfaq Jabbar condemns killing of sarpanch in J&K

 

Demands adequate security for main stream leaders and thorough probe into the gruesome killing.

Srinagar June 8: National Conference Senior Leader and former MLA from Ganderbal has strongly condemned the killing of Sarpanch Ajay Pandita of Anantnag district by unidentified gunmen.

In a statement issued here, NC former legislator from Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Ahmad said innocent killings had no place in a civilised society. “My party strongly condemned such incidents.

Mr Jabbar described the killing of Ajay Bharti as mindless and shameful act and demanded exemplary punishment against those behind the killing of Bharti.
He urged the government to order a thorough probe into the incident. “The killing of Sarpanch at Anantnag is highly unfortunate and the government should bring the culprits to book,”  he added.

Ishfaq Jabbar has demanded adequate security cover to main stream politicians, Members of urban local body, Panchs, Sarpanchs and other leaders to ensure safety of their lives and family.
