With an aim to provide relief to the pubic who faced hardships during nationwide lockdown, District Magistrate Kishtwar Rajinder Singh Tara today ordered for partial or conditional relaxation in the various services/commodities in the district.
As per order Medical shops shall remain open from 10:00 AM to 08:00 PM for all days of the week. Fruit and vegetable shops, the Milk and Milk product shops, poultary/meat/fish shops, animal feed and fodder shops, printing press, shops of agriculture industry spear parts and seeds etc, along with bakery /sweet shops shall remain open on all the days of the week from the 10:00 AM to 05:00 pm.
The grocery shops including the Kiryana shops (retail and wholesale) shall open on the three days of the week i.e Monday ,Thursday and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM.
Furthermore, all mobile/mobile repair /computer shops and Photostat shops shall remain operative only on the Monday and Friday from 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM. All the vehicle mechanics /Tyre repair /car wash shops except showrooms will remain open on Sunday and Monday from 10:00 am to 05:00 pm.
Whereas the Shops dealing with sale of clothes /readymade garments/shoes shall operate on Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM. The cosmetics and Manyari shops has been scheduled to open only on Wednesday and Friday from 10:00AM to 5:00 PM.
The jewellery shops and goldsmith shall remain operative only on two days i.e. Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 am to 05:00 pm. While the load carriers shall be allowed to enter the premises of Kishtwar town only from 07:00 AM to 10:00 AM for unloading the permitted commodities.
The relaxations have been subjected to specific conditions like compulsory use of mask by customer as well as shopkeeper, curtailment of staff strength to 50%, prohibition of a person above the age of 60 years in sale purchase activity and maintaining the social distancing and other precautions to be followed to contain the spread of COVID-19.
