DGP J&K sanctions retirement gift  of over rupees 1.58 Crore in favour of 210 Police personnel

 

Continuing with endevours of welfare of its personnel Police Headquarters has launched a number of schemes which include scholarships, freeship for martyrs wards, relief and loan for needy personnel for health, education and marriage.

As part of these endevours the Director General of Police, J&K, Shri Dilbag Singh sanctioned retirement gift of rupees one crore fifty-seven lakh fifty thousand in favour of 210 Police personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Police who are retiring from service today after attaining the age of superannuation or taking voluntary retirement.

The gift of rupees Seventy-Five thousand each has been sanctioned out of Contributory Police Welfare Fund on their superannuation or voluntarily retirement.

An Order has been issued vide PHQ Order No. 1387 for grant of retirement gift in favour of 14 Gazetted Officers, 149 Non-Gazetted Officers, 36 lower subordinates, 10 Followers and one paramedical official. The personnel belonged to different units and wings of the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

Retirement gift at a uniform rate of rupees seventy-five thousand is sanctioned to each police personnel from the contributory police welfare fund at the time of his/her retirement. The gift serves as a token of appreciation for his/her services rendered to the department.
