Patience, preparation to meet challenges need of hour: Raman Suri 

Apprehending that Lockdown may enter its third term, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K Executive Member Raman Suri today said that Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is doing well and the only thing required at people’s end is to have patience and prepare for challenges ahead. “We will have to listen to Government advisories and also start working towards living with the situation while ensuring economic and developmental activities in most controlled manner and a safe environment”, he said.

Raman Suri said, as compared to other nations, India has seen 934 deaths so far, while there are 29,435 COVID-19 affected people including 6,868 people, who have been discharged after recovery. Out of about 700 districts, around 430 are affected and there are signs of Infection decreasing in many states as well. These all could become possible because of timely Lockdown and people’s positive response to the advisories issued by government from time to time.

Raman Suri, while lauding the efforts of all those front line warriors who are dealing with Coronavirus pandemic and trying to save lives besides ensure round the clock running of essential services, said that we people will have to show utmost restraint, stay indoors, help poor, ensure children’s studies and take care of health issues to come out of this crisis as soon as possible.

Lauding the efforts of education department for starting online classes and helping children cope up with their studies besides stay engaged, Raman Suri said that upsurge in e-learning because of online teaching have come as a boon for children. There might be several issues confronting children as well as teachers but now that this system is evolving itself and all flaws will be done away with in due course of time.

Raman Suri reiterated that since Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also indicated that right against pandemic and economic activities will soon be going side by side, we all must prepare ourselves for the move and while abiding by Standard Operational Procedures (SOP), get involved as and when government issues next advisories.  It is because of these advisories that many lives have been saved, he said, adding that India is well prepared for future and has even started involving labourers in road building activities in some states.
