Kishtwar administration to set up additional quarantine centres in remote areas

With the aim to become fully equipped and prepared to tackle any emergency that may arise due to prevailing threat of corona virus, District Development Commissioner Rajinder Singh Tara today visited the various places of Bunjwa area and reviewed immediate account of specifications and other feasibilities for establishing additional quarantine centres there.

He was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Pawan Parihar, Tehsildar Drabshalla Shohab Latief, DSP Mohd Ashraf Lissrey, Naib Tehsildar Drabshalla Mohd Ehsan Zargar besides other officials of health and R&B Department.

He visited various government and private schools in addition to the other govt buildings and private houses where new quarantine centres are to be established in Bunjwah and took first hand assessment of facilities in these quarantine centres.

District administration had notified seven new Quarantine centres in Bunjwah with bedding capacity of 225 at GHSS Nali Bunjwah, House of Farooq Ahmed Nali Bunjwah, Amin Academy Bunjwah, GHSS Batnazi Bunjwah, MS Gwari, MS Jwalapur, MS Noor Bunjwah, MS Kewa Bunjwah, PS Malikgwari Bunjwah.

DM directed to the concerned officers to plug all the deficiencies and make the Quarantine centres functional in all respects.

DDC interacted with the various officials and the local residents present there and asked them to follow the social distancing and other COVID-19 SOPs religiously. Besides he stressed on the universal usage of masks and said that the re-usable cotton masks are distributed by the administration through Rural Development Department.

He further asked them to inform the administration about anyone with foreign or out of UT history which enters their area or comes in their knowledge.

DDC also visited the Thatri check point and directed the officials deputed there to undertake stringent screening and not to leave any person or vehicle without proper verification of the permission.
