Jammu and Kashmir Government on Tuesday notified Amendment in Jammu and Kashmir Recruitment Rules 2005. The notification defines rules for Direct Recruitment and Admissions in various Govt. & Professional Colleges for Graduate and Post Graduate courses as per Reservation quota in Various Categories with Special Mention of Pahari Speaking People(PSP).
Although this is a welcome step but the long pending demand of ST Status for Pahari speaking community is not yet fulfilled. We appeal to the Honb’le PM of India & HMO India to grant the ST Status to pahari speaking people.
We are Highly thankful to the Government of India and Government of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for giving 4% Reservation to Pahari Speaking People.
