Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Dilbag Singh on Monday reviewed the security scenario and COVID-19 preparation in Kishtwar district.
The DGP chaired a meeting of officers from Army, CRPF and jurisdictional Police officers at District Police Lines. He also addressed Police officers and officials during his visit.
The DGP was accompanied by the IGP Jammu Zone Mukesh Singh and DIG DKR Range Abdul Jabbar.
During his visit, the DGP chaired security review meeting with Army, CRPF and Police officers to review the security situation and preparation and measures taken to contain the spread of novel coronavirus in the district.
The DGP lauded the police personnel and other security forces for hunting down the two terrorists who were involved in the recent attack on two SPOs.
He said the synergy between the forces in J&K has been acknowledged by the governments at highest levels.
The DGP directed the officers to strengthen the security grid and plug the gaps with strict security measures to root out the residual militancy in the area.
He stressed to take stringent action against those involved in the anti-national activities. He instructed the officers to use the new technology in neutralizing militants.
The DGP during the meeting reviewed the preparation/measures taken to contain the deadly virus from spreading. He directed the officers to take all necessary steps in implementing the government orders on ground.
He directed the officers to follow the health protocols issued in maintaining social distancing among the general public.
He stressed to use all resources in helping the needy people and also directed them to take strict action against those people who are defying or violating government orders.
SSP Kishtwar Harmeet Singh and other officers gave the detailed briefing to the DGP about the security scenario and preparedness and measures taken against the fight of COVID-19 in their respective jurisdiction.
