Director Rural Development Jammu Sudershan Kumar today conducted an extensive tour of Akhnoor, Balwal Brahmana, Maira Mandrian and Chowki-Choura blocks.
During the tour, the Director reviewed the progress under different developmental schemes being implemented by the Department in the four Blocks with the concerned Block Development Officers and other staff members.
The Director RDD issued strict instructions to the field functionaries to complete all the works executed under different schemes like MGNREGA, 14th-FC, PMAY and others.
Meanwhile, the Director also interacted with BDC Chairpersons and Sarpanchs of these Blocks and listened to their grievances.
He impressed upon the officers and officials of the Rural Development Department and the PRIs to work in close coordination for successful implementation of the schemes.
Further, strict instructions were issued to maintain 60:40 ratio with regard to labour and material under MGNREGA and completion of all incomplete works by the end of this march.
The Director underlined the importance of regular meetings of officers and officials of the Department with the PRIs for better coordination and implementation of the schemes. He enjoined upon all the field functionaries of the Rural Development Department to work with a missionary zeal so that rural masses may get maximum benefit out of the schemes/programmes being implemented by the Department.
