Adv. Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation, Baldev Singh Billawaria Chairman Health and Sanitation Standing committee and a team of Hon’ble Corporators of Jammu Municipal Corporation went for a 2 day training program on 17th and 18th Feb,2020 at Indore.
During the 1st day of training program, the team of Deputy Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation, Chairman (Health and Sanitation Standing committee) and all the corporators present attended seminars on different topics including all the details on Urbanization, AMRUT, Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan, Smart City Mission, Housing For All, HRIDAY and many more topics. The seminar was organised by All India Institute of Local Self Government and was delived by Mrs Santosh Choudhary to all members of the team present there.
On the second day of training, the team of Deputy Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation, Chairman (Health and Sanitation Standing committee) and Hon’ble Corporators JMC went to various sites of Indore Municipal Corporation, where they studied the working of the Indore Municipal Corporation and other sites including Solid Waste management plant pritampur, Faecal sludge treatment plant and many more.
At the end of the training program, Adv. Purnima Sharma Deputy Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation said that this training program has been quite fruitful as all the members who attended, have gained detailed knowledge of the various missions launched by the Government and also have gained new ideas by encountering the working patternof Indore Municipal Corporation which can be implemented to Jammu Municipal Corporation for the better and smooth functioning of the Jammu Municipal Corporation as well as for the welfare of the Citizens of Jammu.
