PUBLIC AWARENESS PROGRAM CONDUCTED BY MV INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

 

Street plays were conducted by MV International School in the premises ofBlock Development Office (BDO) Vijaypur and Block Development Office (BDO)Samba in which 27 students from classes 6th to 8th participated.At Vijaypur the event was held with the theme “Plastic- Friendly Foe”. It was aimed at generating awareness amongst the people regarding the hazardous effects of plastic in our daily lives. The students showcased, how different factors like use of plastic bags, plastic bottles etc are the leading factors for change in climate leading to Global Warming. At Samba, the event was held with the theme “Adieu: Ugly Illiteracy”. andwas aimed at generating awareness amongst the people regarding the importance of literacy in the today’s world. These shows made people aware about the policies and programs, that government has adopted to increase literacy rate and reduce the use of plastic. Both the activities were organized under the banner of British Council International School Award (ISA).

These plays were witnessed by Sarpanches, Corporators, Businessmen of the  market and prominent citizens of the area. The school authorities extended heartfelt thanks to Ms. Sona Gupta, KAS, BDO, Vijaypur and Ms. Rupinder Kour, KAS, BDO, Samba for providing the venue for the event. The Public gathering at the venueappreciated the efforts made by students to create awareness among them. They were quite impressed by the efforts of the students of the school and they showed overwhelming response by participating in large numbers.
