Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama Dr Raghav Langer along with a team of officers today conducted an extensive tour ofthe snow affected areas of the district and took stock of snow clearance, restoration of power and water supply, availability of ration and other essentials in the area.
During the tour, DC visited Rajpora, Shadimarg, Drubgam, Newa, Lethpora and adjoining areas where he interacted with local and took stock of the snow clearance operation, availability of essential commodities, power and water supply restoration.
He inspected Water Supply Scheme at Rajpora and Grid Stations at Shadimarg and Newa to took stock of restoration work.
The DC also visited Health Sub Centre Drabgamto take stock of availability of patient care facilities. On the occasion locals raised issues including staff dearth, repair and renovation of the centre. Assuring timely redressal of the grievances, he directed the concerned to provide separate electricity and water connection to the centre.
Dr Raghav directed the concerned to remain available for public grievances redressal and not to leave their headquarters in view inclement weather.
