District Development Commissioner Samba, Rohit Khajuria today visited the construction site of additional hospital building at District Hospital Samba to assess its constructional pace.
During the inspection Chief Planning Officer, Sukhleen Kour, Executive Engineer PwD Rajesh Abrol, District Information Officer, Samba Ajay Sharma, Chief Medical Officer, Rajinder Samyal besides other district and field officers were also present.
Executive Engineer, Public Works Department informed that the total project cost of new hospital building is 10.25 Crore and it is sanctioned under Prime Ministers’ Development Package. The New Hospital Building has 05 Levels including a basement parking and a Ground floor besides It also has facility of two lifts and the target for completion of the project is fixed for December 2020.
DDC said that the new Hospital Building shall carter the needs of local population of the area besides as the District Hospital, Samba is located adjacent to National Highway it shall be boonfull to over all medical facility in district Samba. He said that the Building has provisions of a Minor O.T, I.C.U block, Gynae, Surgery and Ortho Units.
DDC so laid emphasis upon adhering to all construction norms as it is adjacent to the present District Hospital Building and also stressed upon not providing any inconvenience to the patients visiting Hospital.
