Professor Talat Ahmad, Vice Chancellor, University of Kashmir, called on Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Prof. Ahmad briefed the Lt. Governor about various initiatives undertaken by the University to develop it as a centre of excellence besides other important issues of academic and administrative importance.
The Lt. Governor emphasized the importance of adopting various innovative and reformative measures for promoting and safeguarding the educational interest of the entire student community.
