Div Com convenes meet with DCs, reviews developmental scenario of Valley

The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan today convened a meeting to review various ongoing developmental works in various districts of Kashmir division.

 The Divisional Commissioner obtained a detailed feedback from all Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and concerned officers regarding various developmental works and bottlenecks, if any.

 The meeting was informed that Drop Boxes are being installed in all Panchayats, as per Administrative Council Decision.

 The Divisional Commissioner directed to publicize the installation of Drop Boxes and create awareness about the same so that people can use it for registering their complaints and offer their suggestions.

 It was given out that after proper inventory of grievances and suggestions in a register, DCs will review it on fortnightly basis and send report to the Divisional Commissioner’s office.

 Regarding Jal Jeevan Mission (Har Ghar Nal), it was informed that Srinagar, Ganderbal, Pulwama and Shopian districts are being covered under the Phase Ist of the programme and base line survey (door to door) and formulation of DPR is underway.

 Div Com directed the concerned to complete DPRs at an earliest so that the programme is completed by or before 31st March, 2020.

 DC Srinagar informed that Under Smart City Project, smart water meters will be installed across the district.

 The Divisional Commissioner asked concerned officers to involve Sarpanchs, Panchs and BDC members in base line survey with regard to Jal Jeevan Mission in their respective jurisdictions. Concerned DCs will also review the same on weekly basis so that phase Ist of the programme is completed within a given timeframe.

 While discussing the re-registration of schools for scholorships, it was given out that 691 High schools were registered out of 804 and 345 Higher Secondary Schools have been registered out of 378 across the Valley. While the process of re-registration of primary and middle school is under process.

 The Div Com also sought detailed feedback of languishing projects and works taken up under Back to Village programme.

 The Div Com directed all the DCs to monitor the works of languishing projects taken up under Back to Village and ensure completion of these projects in a time bound manner.

 DCs were asked to submit District Environment Plan immediately on a prescribed format so that it is implemented in each district well in time.

 The meeting was also informed that proposals related to Administrators of vacant Panchayat posts have already been sent to Rural Development Department and the vacant Sarpanchs and Panchs will be elected after updation of electoral rolls by Election Commissioner.

The meeting was also informed that 77 BDC members received training at Jammu, recently.

 Regarding uploading of Artificial Insemination Data on the portal, the meeting was informed Anantnag has uploaded 3112, Bandipora 3542, Baramulla 3660, Kulgam 4204, Kupwara 3652 and Shopian 2628, while remaining data is being uploaded on daily basis.

 Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr Shahid Iqbal, Additional Commissioner Kashmir Bilal Ahmad Bhat, Directors of Rural Development, Animal & Sheep Husbandries, Chief Engineers of MED and I&FC, Joint Director Education, Deputy Directors of Health Services & Social Welfare, Assistant Commissioner (central) with Div Com and other concerned officers were present in the meeting while other Deputy Commissioners of the valley participated in the meeting through video conferencing.
