Today on 20/12/2019, Adv. Purnima Sharma, Hon’ble Deputy Mayor chaired the Standing Committee meeting of “Housing for All” and “Skill Upgradation and Self Employment” in the Council hall of Jammu Municipal Corporation along with Sh. Baldev Baloria Chairman, Health and Sanitation Committee, Sh. Jeet Angral – Chairman, Social Injustice Committee, Sh. Suraj Parkash – Chairman, Swacch Bharat Committee, Sh. Prem Singh – Asst. Commissioner (R) , all the Hon’ble Councilors of JMC, Officials of Housing Board, JUDA, Social Welfare Department and different NGO’s were also present during the meeting.
During the meeting presentations regarding various schemes introduced for the welfare of the general public by the Center Government were delivered by the representatives from the various departments among all the Hon’ble Councillors so as to make them aware of all the schemes at once.
This initiative was taken up by the Hon’ble Deputy Mayor for the first time to conduct the standing Committee meeting with the involvement of all the Hon’ble Councillors so that they can be aware of all the schemes for public welfare as well as to clear all the queries of the Hon’ble Councillors regarding the schemes.
The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by Officials of the JMC to the Hon’ble Deputy Mayor , all the Hon’ble Councillors and the officials of all the other departments for participating in the meeting and making all the Councillors aware about all the schemes.
