Continuing the drive to provide better basic as well as development facilities to the people of Jammu, Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation today on 18-12-2019 conducted intensive tour of W.No.33 in the areas of Rajpura Mangotrian , Shiv Nagar etc and started the upgradation and beautification of platform around peepal tree as well as construction of shed with sitting arrangements for the general public at the estimate cost of Rs. four lakh forty thousand only & also started the construction work of lanes at Rajpura Mangotrian at the estimate cost of Rupees three lakh only. This was the long pending demands of the people of that area. Sh. Rakesh Bhatt Junior Engineer of the ward, concerned contractor Sh. Ayodhya Gupta Senior BJP Leader, Sh. Balwan Singh Ward President, Sh. Ved Sharma, Sh. Karan Sharma & other inhabitants of the ward were also present during the tour and thanked the Mayor for fulfilling their demands.
Later on, Mayor also visited Ward No.13 in the areas of Resham Ghar Colony along with Smt. Rama Kumari Councillor of Ward , Sh. Balbir Kumar Ballu, Sh. Prashant Puri, Sh. Vijay Malhotra Ex.Councillor of W.No.13, Sh. Krishan Lal & other prominent citizens of the area and started the construction work of lanes & drains near Mandir at Resham Ghar colony Jammu. This development work will be completed by Jammu Municipal Corporation at the estimate cost of Rupees ten lakh as the residents of Resham Ghar colony were facing lot of problems due to damaged lanes & drains in their locality Mayor also told to the gathering that construction/Renovation of lanes & drains as well as installation of street lights by EESL (Energy efficiency services limited) has taken up by the deptt. on war footing in each ward of JMC for the convenience of the general public and appeal to them to co-operate with Jammu Municipal Corporation in development works as well as in other activities undertaken by the deptt. in making Jammu towards smart city project.
