Special Operation Group of Jammu & Kashmir Police of Jammu district achieved a major success by recovering 2500 bottles of Banned drug concealed in boxes carrying by two narco smugglers in a truck bearing registration No. JK03B -9015 near Stadium Morh Channi –Himmat of district Jammu this evening.
The accused have been identified as Sajad Ahmed Dar S/o Gulam Ahmed and Marfat Ahmed S/o Gulamh Mohd R/o Dongri Pura Pulwama, Kashmir.
Reports said that sleuths of SOG Jammu with a Police party of Police Station Channi-Himmat laid a special Naka near Stadium Morh Channi -Himmat Jammu and they intercepted a truck bearing registration No. JK03B -9015 which was on its way from Punjab towards Srinagar . During search of the vehicle cops recovered 145 bottles of Codedyl 2025 bottles of Welcyrex and 330 bottles of Maxcoff in total 2500 bottles (Banned drug) concealed in boxes kept in specially designed chambers inside the vehicle .
Cops seized the vehicle and arrested the driver and conductor of the truck. Case FIR No. 191/2019 u/s 8/21/22/29/60 NDPS Act was registered at PS Channi Himmat.
The whole operation was monitored closely by SSP SOG Jammu Sandeep Mehta-KPS and supervised by SSP Jammu Tejinder Singh IPS
