Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu Commemorates Fitness Assessment Programme

In the era where we all have become busy in their work somehow we have forgotten the importance of proverb “A healthy mind resides in healthy body”. To apprise the faculty of physical fitness department of various schools; today a workshop was conducted by Ms Jagpreet Kaur and Ms Tanishka Charak, the resource persons who are from Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu and were trained at a workshop on TOT held in Delhi. The workshop commenced in the presence of Jitender Kumar (Executive Assisstant for Khelo India from SAI Sports Authority of India for National School fitness) and various sports teachers from 45 schools of Jammu & Kathua District.
The opening ceremony was marked by ribbon cutting followed by traditional lamp lighting, pinning of Batches and presentation of sapling. The resource person first enlightened about the organization of Khelo India, the technical aspect of Khelo India App and how to run the app and enroll the schools therein. Then another aspect dealt there in was how to conduct the physical tests of students with precision. Apart from all these, the fitness assessment programme was enriching & upgraded the faculty from different schools.
The workshop was concluded with the demonstration given in the ground regarding the conduct of Physical tests wherein the resource persons demonstrated the aforementioned involving the Children. Ms Rohini Aima, Principal cum Vice-Chairperson of the school appreciated the immense role of Sports authority of India in taking this initiative & the resource persons for their meticulous planning to conduct this workshop at Regional Level and acknowledging others about conduct of Fitness programme. She also asserted that as the ultimate aim of education is all round development of personality which can never be met until and unless we make ourselves & our Children physically fit.
