Local leadership beholden to help needy: Randhawa

Former Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa, today while distributing ration and masks among needy people urged upon the local leadership to come forward and help those in imminent need.

Randhawa today distributed ration and masks among hundred needy families of Karan Bagh, Gadi Garh and Bhour Camp in Gandhi Nagar Assembly Segment.

While distributing ration and masks at these places Randhawa said that the local leaders are beholden to reach out every nook and corner to ensure that no one sleeps hungry during lockdown period. He said that following lockdown in the wake of COVID-19 spread many families, who were daily bread earners, have been starving of hunger. “These families need immediate attention of the local leaders and administration as well”, Randhawa added.

He urged upon the people to stay indoors to stay safe and maintain proper social distancing to make the purpose of lockdown a grand success.

He said that the nation would emerge as winner in fight against the spread of the COVID-19 and the situation by large is under control if compared to other countries. He said it all has happened under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a tremendous support extended to him by the citizens of India.

Randhawa himself ensured proper social distancing while distributing ration and masks among the people.
