Randhawa urges people to help poor

Former Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa, today while distributing ration among the needy people urged upon the well to do families to come forward and help those in distress following lockdown.

While distributing ration at Raipur Satwari in Gandhi Nagar assembly segment Randhawa said that the leaders leaving aside the party line must come forward to support the deserving people who are indeed in imminent need. He said that a month-long lockdown has rendered many families in distress and they need immediate attention of the local leaders and administration as well. He said those playing vote bank politics as this crucial juncture will have to pay.

Randhawa said that every citizen of India has displayed a unique example of discipline especially the people of Jammu who followed the directions of the administration in a well-disciplined manner and cooperated with the local police in implementing lockdown making its purpose a grand success.

He urged upon the people to stay indoors to stay safe and maintain proper social distancing while going out, if required. He said that the nation would emerge as winner in fight against the spread of the COVID-19 and the situation by large is under control if compared to other countries. He said it all has happened under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a tremendous support extended to him by the citizens of India.

Randhawa ensured proper social distancing while distributing ration among the people and around about hundred families were today provided dry ration.
