More than 350 students and about 40 thousand workers of Jammu and Kashmir are stranded in the outer states. This situation has arisen due to lockdown. Now on returning to Jammu and Kashmir these people will be tested and they will be kept in home quarantine. Lieutenant Governor GC Murmu said this.
In his statement, he said that the Ministry of External Affairs has been spoken to for the safe return of the people of Jammu and Kashmir stranded in foreign countries. We have requested Bangladesh, Iran and other countries to bring people. Most have been brought back. The Lt. Governor said that students of Jammu and Kashmir are stranded in many states due to the lockdown. Some are kept in quarantine in Jaisalmer, Mumbai. Some are staying in Bengaluru, Chennai, Noida and Agra.
He said that he will be brought to Jammu and Kashmir as soon as the lockdown ends. On returning here, their tests will be done and placed in the home quarantine. He said that the government is engaged in the entire scheme for the prevention of corona virus. The situation is under control in Jammu division. There is a problem in those areas where people have a travel history. Those people have been identified and quarantined.
