JKPSA demand relaxation for low Budget Schools

In a press release issued by the General Secretary of JKPSA ,Ajay Gupta said that due to the outbreak of COVID-19 lockdown has imposed to prevent all of us but financial crunch has become the biggest threat for the owners, teaching and non teaching staff of small low budget schools as since March05, 2020 most of the parents have not deposited tuition fee of their wards for the month of March due to the circulation of advisory on outbreak of COVID-19. To tackle the grave situation emerged due to lockdown for those school owners who are solely dependent on this venture having low budget a representation is presented to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, J&K through Anuradha Gupta (KAS), Director School Education Jammu, today. Through representation, President of the Association Kamal Gupta appealed to the government to pass direction to all ‘National Banks’ to grant loan at zero percent interest to all those promoters who are running small schools with low budget so that they can pay salaries to their teaching and non- teaching staff in this critical juncture without any delay. Due to the restrictions of internet speed i.e. 2G, to make online education more effective, utilize the services of 500 teacher volunteers of different districts of Jammu division whose lists have already been submitted to DSE Jammu on April 10, 20 to provide door to door facility by providing them all safety kits to deliver the books and note books to the students without opening the stationery shops because flood of thousands of students and parents can endanger all of us. He also demanded direction for the ‘J&K BOSE Affiliation Committee’ to grant extension in affiliation to those schools which have deposited their file for the extension in affiliation after completing all stipulated formalities and whose affiliation has lapsed on March 31, 2020. A review on the notification issued by the School Education department on April 15, 2020 regarding school bag weight, books and homework assignment is also demanded as in this age of competition such type of order may have adverse effect for bringing the students up to expectations.
