As part of routine hearing of public grievances by the Administrative Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Commissioner Secretaries today met with general public and panchayat representatives in their office chambers at Civil Secretariat.
A large number of deputations from across J&K met the Administrative Secretaries and highlighted their issues pertaining to Finance, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, School Education, Social Welfare, Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction, Cooperative, Tribal Affairs, Education, Forest, Ecology and Environment, Food, Civil Supplies and Youth Services and Sports.
During separate public meetings held today, Principal Secretary Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon, Commissioner/Secretary School Education and Social Welfare Department Hirdesh Kumar, Secretary Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Simrandeep Singh, and Secretary Cooperative and Tribal Affairs department Abdul Majid Bhat met with people and took stock of their grievances and concerns.
A deputation of Kashmiri Migrants demanded enhancement in relief besides bringing forth other issues like delay in disbursement of ration by FPS, request for increasing eligibility to include all Kashmiri Migrants for scholarships/other welfare schemes.
Multiple deputations highlighting concerns of Tribals requested for expediting work on construction of T/Road from Chambitrar to Ratta Jabber, block Koteranka, from Jar Chappar to Tanda Gala, block Lamberi, from Dodiwala to Setieali village Sabzi, block Darhal, Karhad Bara Rajouri and Simble Ghai, Rajouri.
Similarly another deputation from District Poonch demanded construction of Link Road from Chandak Mandi road to Mohalla Battalla Chaktroo via Thanda Bala and Link Road from CRF road Mandi Phagla to Motorable Bridge via Kalsi Bajrana Kalyani District Poonch.
A deputation from Doda led by Chairperson BDC, Block Bhalla requested for financial assistance under relevant Tribal schemes for construction of homes for eligible beneficiaries residing in the area.
Among others, individual from Poonch requested for inclusion under handicap pension scheme, while a deputation requested for relocation of a local Anganwadi center. Besides concerns were also raised pertaining to functioning of ICDS centers and other service matters.
Similarly, Financial Commissioner Finance Department Arun Kumar Mehta, Principal Secretary Education Department, Navin Kumar Choudhary, Commissioner/Secretary Department of Forest, Ecology and Environment Sarita Chauhan, Secretary Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Pandurang Kondbarao Pole and Secretary Youth Services and Sports Sarmad Hafeez today met with individuals, deputations, Ex MLAs/MLCs and BDC Chairpersons to take stock of their issues and concerns.
Among others, pertinent issues raised included request for job policy for Khidmat Centers professionals by J&K Khidmat Centre Association and settlement of anomalies of erstwhile JK SRTC pensioners by the J&K GTU/JKSRTC Pensioners Association Jammu.
