To instill a sense of unity amongst all faiths and religion and to promote peace and communal harmony in the region, Army distributed stationery items to the Madarassa going children at Cherji and Dool regions of Kishtwar District.
The event was organised with great enthusiasm wherein Madarassa going childrens from nearby villages took part irrespective of their religion. People from all segments of society attended the event. Note books, stationery items (Pen, Pencil, writing materials, drawing sheets, water colors, Pencil colors, sketch pens, clip boards, notebooks, GK books etc) were distributed during the event. A total of 03 Moulvis and 93 children and 23 locals attended the event
The local populace lauded the initiative and expressed hope that such initiatives by Army will give a fillip to communal disharmony in the region and spread the message of unity and brotherhood.
