On the occasion of World Environment Day, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Shopian, in collaboration with the Forest Department Shopian today organized a plantation drive at the District Court Complex, Shopian.
The drive was inaugurated by Mehmood Ahmad Chowdhury, Principal District and Sessions Judge (Chairman DLSA) Shopian in presence of Qamar Rashid Khan, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Shopian.
Judicial and administrative officers including Riyaz Ahmad Chowdhury, Chief Judicial Magistrate/Sub-Judge, Shopian, Mohd Waseem Mirza, Judicial Magistrate 1st Class / Munsiff, Rameen Rashid Khan, Additional Mobile Magistrate, Shopian, Rafie Ahmad Ganie, Chief LADC, Shopian, all Lawyers (PLVs), LADCs, LADC staff and DLSA staff were also present, reflecting strong collective participation.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman DLSA Shopian stressed the importance of afforestation and a clean environment. He urged everyone to take responsibility for protecting nature, noting that a healthy environment is essential for a just and livable society.
