
A training-cum-awareness programme regarding the rollout of the Integrated Pesticide Management System (IPMS) Portal in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir was organised today at the Conference Hall Directorate of Agriculture, Jammu. The programme witnessed participation from pesticide distributors from across the Jammu region.
The training programme was organised by the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India- Krishi Bhavan- New Delhi. Experts delivered a detailed presentation and live demonstration of the IPMS Portal and its stock management modules. The session focused on the operational aspects of the portal including product uploading, stock maintenance, inventory management and digital compliance procedures aimed at ensuring greater transparency and efficiency in pesticide regulation and monitoring.
The distributors actively interacted with the organisers through video conferencing. A healthy and constructive discussion was held wherein the participants raised several queries and sought clarifications regarding the implementation and functioning of the portal. The organisers addressed the concerns comprehensively and provided necessary guidance for smooth on-boarding and effective utilisation of the IPMS system.
Speaking on the occasion, Plant Protection Officer Raju Mahajan urged all pesticide distributors to complete the requisite portal-related formalities and exercises within a fortnight so as to ensure the smooth and successful rollout of the IPMS Portal in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The programme concluded with a collective commitment from all stakeholders towards strengthening transparency, accountability and digital governance in pesticide management through the effective implementation of the IPMS initiative in the Union Territory.
