
Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Minga Sherpa today chaired a review meeting with officers of line departments and representatives of the banks to assess the progress achieved under the HADP, JKCIP and other credit-linked schemes in the district.
At the outset, the Chief Agriculture Officer presented a comprehensive overview of the departmental performances, highlighting implementation status, establishment and tracking of units, financial utilization, Kisan Khidmat Ghar registrations, credit flow under HADP including applications and sanctions, soil health card schemes and the status of JKCIP applications in terms of coverage and approvals.
Reviewing the implementation of HADP & JKCIP, the Deputy Commissioner examined the loan applications (proposals) received, approved, pending and rejected, besides those ready for DLC consideration across the sectors of Agriculture, Horticulture, Sericulture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Sheep Husbandry.
The DC directed the concerned departments and banking institutions to widen outreach to enable each and every farmer in the district to avail benefits from these schemes.
Emphasizing the importance of awareness and accessibility, the DC directed the departments to organise block-level credit outreach camps to educate farmers about beneficiary-oriented schemes and financial assistance opportunities.
The DC further directed all concerned departments to adopt a proactive and coordinated approach for expediting the sanctioning of pending applications under HADP.
