DC Kathua reviews development scenario, implementation of Mission YUVA, HADP in Basohli Stresses timely execution of schemes, reviews Census preparedness, inspects facilities at JNV

Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rajesh Sharma on Wednesday visited Basohli and reviewed the implementation of Mission YUVA, Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), Census-related activities and developmental works being executed by the PWD (R&B) Department in the subdivision.

 

The officers from the concerned departments apprised the Deputy Commissioner about the implementation status and progress achieved under the developmental and welfare schemes in the subdivision.

 

Reviewing Mission YUVA, the DC stressed effective implementation of youth-oriented initiatives aimed at promoting skill development and self-employment opportunities. He directed the concerned departments to enhance outreach and ensure maximum coverage of eligible persons under the programme.

 

While reviewing HADP and other agriculture and allied sector schemes, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized timely delivery of benefits to the farmers. He called for generating mass awareness regarding the government interventions and support measures launched for promoting agriculture and allied sectors entrepreneurship.

 

The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the status of ongoing PWD (R&B) works in the subdivision and directed the concerned officers to maintain quality standards and ensure completion of works within stipulated timelines.

 

The meeting further reviewed Census-related targets and preparedness, with the Deputy Commissioner instructing officers to work in close coordination for achieving the assigned targets in a time-bound manner.

 

Later, the Deputy Commissioner visited Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and inspected the infrastructure and facilities at the institution. He interacted with the school authorities, reviewed the developmental requirements of the school and assured appropriate redressal of genuine issues raised by the administration.

 

The DC was accompanied by IAS Probationer Nidhi, CPO Ranjeet Thakur and officers and officials of various departments.
