In pursuance of directions issued by the Government, a Census 2027 Self-Enumeration awareness rally was conducted today in Akhnoor Main Market under the supervision of the Charge Officer (Urban), Census 2027, Akhnoor.
The rally was flagged off by MLA Akhnoor, Mohan Lal with the objective of achieving 100 percent self-enumeration in the Akhnoor urban area.
Prominent citizens participated in the campaign. The Municipal Council team also called upon prominent residents appealing for active public participation in the national census exercise.
Citizens were informed about the Self-Enumeration Portal at https://se.census.gov.in and encouraged to complete the process within the stipulated period.
In a notable development, the self-enumeration of Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Bana Singh was successfully conducted at his residence in R.S. Pura by the Census Charge Officer, R.S. Pura.
