
A comprehensive awareness and training programme on the Census 2027 self-enumeration process was conducted today at the Conference Hall, DC Office Complex, Doda. The programme was attended by district officers, sectoral officers and other concerned stakeholders and was organised under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Doda and Principal Census Officer, Krishan Lal.
It was supervised by Additional Commissioner Revenue (ACR) and Nodal Officer Census Doda, Ashraf Pervez. DSEO Doda and Additional District Census Officer (ADCO), Vijay Kumar and District Coordinator Census, Vinay Kumar Singh also participated in an official capacity.
The training programme aimed at equipping officers with the necessary knowledge and technical skills related to the self-enumeration process, digital census tools, data collection procedures and field-level coordination. Detailed presentations on Census 2027 procedures, parameters and operational guidelines were delivered by District Coordinator Census, Vinay Kumar Singh, who also addressed key queries and explained around 33 questions related to census activities and self-enumeration procedures. Demonstrations of online self-enumeration registration in both Hindi and English were conducted for participants to ensure better understanding and smooth implementation.
During the training session, Deputy Commissioner Krishan Lal enrolled himself in the self-enumeration process through the official portal. He encouraged all citizens to actively participate and complete their registration within the stipulated period to ensure accurate and comprehensive census data for effective planning and development.
Speaking at the session, Deputy Commissioner Krishan Lal emphasised that the Self-Enumeration Portal is user-friendly and transparent and an important step towards ensuring accurate and reliable census data. He appealed to all citizens to actively participate and submit correct information to make the Census 2027 exercise successful in the district. He further directed all district and sectoral officers to intensify awareness activities at the grassroots level and encourage maximum public participation through coordinated outreach campaigns, institutional support and community engagement programmes.
Master Trainers Professor Dr. Akhter Hussain and Additional District Census Officer Vijay Kumar highlighted the methodology, procedures and practical guidance on self-enumeration and census operations. They also educated participants on the importance of digital data accuracy, timely registration and proper verification of details during the enumeration process. The programme concluded with interactive discussions, hands-on demonstrations and a collective commitment from all stakeholders to ensure effective implementation and widespread awareness of Census 2027 across Doda district.
