
On the eve of the 100 Day Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan, District AYUSH Srinagar today organized a free medical camp, yoga session and awareness programme on drug abuse in collaboration with District Railway Srinagar and Bridge Foundation NGO.
The programme aimed at creating awareness about the harmful effects of drug addiction and promoting a healthy and drug-free lifestyle through yoga and preventive healthcare.
During the programme, Dr. Wahida Karim delivered an informative lecture on drug addiction and its adverse impact on individuals, families and society at large. She emphasized the need for collective efforts to combat substance abuse and encourage youth towards positive and healthy activities.
Yoga Instructor and De-addiction Expert, Mohammad Younis also addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of yoga, meditation and a healthy lifestyle in preventing and overcoming substance abuse. A yoga session was also conducted during the programme to promote physical and mental well-being among the participants.
Dr. Rehana Tak provided free medical consultations and health check-ups for the attendees during the medical camp.
The programme was supported by AYUSH staff members including Outsource Staff Adil, Pharmacist Saima and Yoga Instructor Mehak, who actively participated in the successful conduct of the event.
The event was attended by the DSP, SHO, Railway officers and other officials, who appreciated the efforts of District AYUSH Srinagar in spreading awareness against drug abuse and promoting a healthy, drug-free society.
