District Admin Bandipora organises Awareness Programmes across Educational Institutions, Panchayats

BANDIPORA, MAY 11: The ongoing 100-Day Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan continued across Bandipora district on Monday with awareness programmes, group discussions, essay competitions, pledge ceremonies and IEC campaigns organised in various educational institutions and Panchayat Halqas to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote a healthy and drug-free society.

Discussions on “Myths and Facts about Drug Addiction” were organised at Higher Secondary School Sumbal, HSS Nowgam, HSS Mantrigam, Government HSS PTL Gurez, HSS Gadakhud, Government High School Naidkhai, High School Kehnusa, High School Achoora and other institutions.

Students and faculty members actively participated in the programmes, where speakers highlighted the physical, psychological and social consequences of substance abuse and encouraged students to adopt healthy lifestyles.

Essay writing competitions under the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan were organised at Government High School Nadihal, HSS Nowgam and Government Higher Secondary School Chuntimulla, while pledge-taking ceremonies were held at Islamic Model School Wangipora and HSS Quilmuqam.

PM SHRI HSS Shadipora also organised an awareness session and mass pledge under the campaign.

IEC campaigns and awareness activities were also conducted at Government Higher Secondary School Purana Tulail Gurez, Jurniyal-A, Nadihal-B, Dangerpora, Buglinder-A, HS Panar, HS Ahamsharief and various Panchayat Halqas including Dawar Gurez, Kawpora and Payeen Badugam.

The programmes witnessed active participation of students, teachers, Panchayat representatives and general public, reflecting the continued commitment towards the successful implementation of the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan across the district.
