RAMBAN, MAY 11: As part of the ongoing efforts to promote Mission YUVA among youth, the District Administration Ramban today organized a series of Udyam Jagriti Camps across the educational institutions of the district.
The awareness camps were conducted by the teams of the Business Help Desk (BHD) and Skill and Business Development Unit (SBDU), who interacted with students to sensitize them to entrepreneurship and self-employment opportunities offered by the government under Mission YUVA.
The institutions covered during the campaign included Government Polytechnic College Chanderkote; Government Degree College Gool; ITI Ramban and Government Higher Secondary School, Ramban.
During the sessions, the students were encouraged to develop an entrepreneurial mindset to become job creators instead of job seekers by leveraging the self-employment and skill development schemes being implemented by the government.
The resource persons provided detailed information regarding the components of Mission YUVA, including certified e-courses, foreign language training programmes, Skill Learning Hub, capacity building initiatives, ONDC marketplace integration, scholarship schemes, government-sponsored entrepreneurship programmes, business helpline services, AI chatbot platforms for guidance and support, and offline skill courses available through the Mission YUVA App.
The interactive sessions witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who raised several queries related to registration, eligibility criteria, financial assistance, skill enhancement programmes and business development support. The team addressed all queries on the spot and guided the participants on the process of availing benefits under the scheme.
At the conclusion of the camps, student feedback and assessment forms were collected to evaluate the effectiveness of the awareness sessions and gather suggestions for organizing more impactful programmes in the future.
