
KULGAM, MAY 01: Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Shahzad Alam presided over a day-long training programme for Krishi Udyamis of District Kulgam.
The programme was organized with the objective of enhancing entrepreneurial skills, promoting modern agricultural practices, and strengthening value addition in the farm sector.
Experts from the Agriculture and allied departments, banking sector, CSC Coordinator, and KVK Kulgam delivered comprehensive sessions on key topics including introduction of Kisan Khidmat Ghars (KKGs), reporting, monitoring, accountability, farmer mobilization, CSC operations, service delivery, and various government schemes supporting agri-startups.
Addressing the gathering, the DC emphasized innovation, transparency in daily reporting, and collective efforts to make agriculture a profitable enterprise. He urged Krishi Udyamis to work independently while ensuring accountability in KKG operations so that the benefits of schemes reach the last farmer.
In his address, District Agriculture Officer Kulgam, Mohammad Amin Sheikh, highlighted the pivotal role of Krishi Udyamis in operationalizing Kisan Khidmat Ghars (KKGs) as self-sustaining farmer service hubs.
The programme witnessed active participation from budding agri-entrepreneurs and field functionaries. Interactive discussions and practical demonstrations were held on sustainable agriculture, efficient resource utilization, and income diversification.
