3-day training for Field Trainers concludes at Jammu

JAMMU, APRIL 29: The three-day training programme for Field Trainers (FTs) in connection with the forthcoming Census–2027 operations concluded today in Jammu.

The training programme was organized by the District Administration Jammu under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner (District Census Officer) Vidhur Shekhar and DSEO, Additional District Census Officer Neeraj Sharma.

A total of 46 Field Trainers from different departments participated in the training programme. The Field Trainers have been trained to further impart training to Supervisors and Enumerators at their respective charge levels to ensure smooth and efficient conduct of census activities across the district.

The training sessions were conducted by Master Trainer Jatinder Kumar, Assistant Director and Nodal Officer (Jammu) from Directorate of Census Operations, J&K, who provided detailed training on various aspects of Census–2027 including House Listing and Housing Census (HLO), House listing Blocks (HLBs), Layout maps, Definitions uses in Census, Legal aspects of Census, roles and responsibilities of Census Functionaries etc through PPTs and hands on practices on mobile devices.  Sunita Reshi, District Coordinator from Census Operations, J&K also attended the training.

The programme concluded today with closing remarks by Vidhur Shekhar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (District Census Officer), who emphasized the importance of proper training and coordination among field functionaries for the successful conduct of Census–2027. He appreciated the active participation of the Field Trainers and urged them to effectively disseminate the knowledge gained during the training to the enumerators and supervisors during subsequent training programmes.

The District Administration Jammu reaffirmed its commitment to ensure the smooth, transparent and time-bound conduct of Census–2027 in the district.
