DLSA Doda spreads awareness on Mediation; Child protection laws

DODA, APRIL 29: Legal Awareness Programme on mediation and child protection laws were organised today by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Doda.

The awareness programme on mediation was held here at the Labour Office to promote alternative dispute resolution mechanisms among the public.

The programme was conducted by Advocate Tahir Hussain Dar (LADC) along with Advocate Abhi Kumar, in the presence of Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) Paramveer and Shehnaza.

The speakers elaborated on the significance of mediation as an effective tool for resolving disputes in a quick, cost-efficient and amicable manner.  They emphasized that mediation not only reduces the burden on courts but also helps maintain cordial relationships between parties.

The participants were encouraged to opt for mediation as a preferred mode of dispute resolution to avoid prolonged litigation.

Meanwhile, an awareness camp focusing on child protection laws and prevention of sexual offences was organized today at a local school under the directions of the Chairman District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Bhaderwah, Secretary DLSA   and Chairman Tehsil Legal Services Committee (TLSC) Doda.

The session was facilitated by the LADC and Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) of TLSC Doda.

Advocate Tahir Hussain Dar was the resource person. He delivered an informative and engaging session on various aspects of child protection laws. He elaborated on preventive measures against child abuse, the significance of timely reporting and the legal safeguards available for children.

The camp witnessed active participation from students and staff, making the session highly interactive and impactful. The initiative aimed to spread awareness and foster a safe, secure and supportive environment for children.
