Training Programme for Field Trainers for Census 2027 held in Ganderbal

GANDERBAL, APRIL 21: The training programme for Field Trainers for the upcoming Census 2027 was today formally inaugurated at the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat Ganderbal, marking a key step towards strengthening district-level preparedness for the national exercise.

The programme is being conducted under the overall supervision of the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Syed Faheem Bihaqi, who is also serving as District Census Officer, Ganderbal.

Speaking on the occasion, the Joint Director Census, Arun underscored the significance of accuracy, dedication and strict adherence to prescribed guidelines during census operations. He highlighted the pivotal role of Field Trainers in ensuring effective dissemination of training to enumerators and other field-level functionaries, thereby laying the groundwork for smooth execution of the exercise.

The training sessions, being conducted by experienced Master Trainers, focus on essential aspects of census operations including enumeration procedures, data collection practices, use of technology and handling of field-level challenges.

The programme is designed to equip participants with practical knowledge and clarity on their roles and responsibilities.

The initiative reflects the district administration’s proactive approach towards ensuring a well-coordinated and efficient Census process. It also reaffirms the commitment to uphold high standards of data quality and operational excellence, recognizing the Census as a vital tool for evidence-based planning and inclusive development.

The training will continue over the coming days with structured sessions aimed at building capacity and readiness among the field functionaries.
