Channi Himmat Ward No. 50 lightened with new led street lights

Corporator & State Vice President BJP Mahilla Morcha Neena Gupta along with State Vice President BJP Youth Advocate Ishant Gupta started the installation work of street lights through EESL (Energy efficiency Service Ltd.) in the area of Channi Himmat Ward No. 50. Prof. Varinder Gupta, Balwan Singh, Rajinder Mehta, Om Parkash Sharma, Poonam Gupta, Kamlesh Magotra, Trishula Gupta, Prof. Bhola Nath Sharma, Bansi Lal Gupta, Ankush Gupta and other prominent citizens were present and graced the occasion.

While interacting with media, Corporator Neena Gupta said that she was very much thankful to Mayor because of his active efforts Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) was signed to convert each and every street and main roads of all the 75 wards under Jammu Municipal Corporation from darkness to lightness. She said that with the installation of new Led Street Lights in her ward not only bring lightness in the area but also bring happiness among residents because it was their very long pending and important demand. She added that we are committed towards development works and in that context many other works are going in her ward like construction of nallahs, drains, installation of dustbins etc. She said that in upcoming days we will move forward towards resolving other basic issues of people.

Advocate Ishant Gupta said that the defunct and old street lights create hardships for the residents of the area because at night there was darkness everywhere which creates trouble for walking in the streets. He said that the installation of new led street lights not only bring lightness in the area but also overcome the situation of its maintenance as EESL is the government agency who has tie-up with JMC for maintaining street lights for seven years and if any street light got defunct, EESL will repair or replace the same within 48 hours, failing which penalty will be imposed on the agency.

Prominent residents who present on the occasion thanked Mayor, Corporator, BJP Workers and EESL for fulfilling their long pending demand.
