
JAMMU, APRIL 13: The Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary today inspected the ongoing construction work on Rs. 7.42 crore bridge project being executed on the Satwari–R S Pura road at Meeran Sahib, Jammu.
During the inspection, the Deputy Chief Minister reviewed the pace and quality of work being executed on the vital infrastructure project. He emphasised the importance of timely completion of the vital project while strictly adhering to the set quality parameters.
Highlighting the significance of the bridge, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the project holds historical importance and will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless connectivity and improved accessibility for the people of the area.
Interacting with the engineers and officials, he sought detailed information regarding the construction methods, quality of materials being used and overall progress achieved, so far.
“We will closely monitor the project and conduct periodic inspections to ensure that the work is carried out as per the prescribed standards,” asserted the Deputy CM.
The Deputy Chief Minister also reviewed the safety features of the bridge, including provision of a footpath for the pedestrians aimed at preventing accidents and enhancing public convenience.
Chief Engineer R&B, Rajesh Kumar Agastam, SE and Executive Engineers and other senior officers accompanied the Deputy Chief Minister during the inspection.
Earlier, the Deputy Chief Minister visited Sukh Sagar Bhawan Ashram at village Sikandarpur, Bisnah in Jammu and paid obeisance at the temple.
He also interacted with the caretakers and reviewed the ongoing works, emphasising their timely completion and quality execution.
