DC Kulgam reviews preparedness for 100-Day NMBA

KULGAM, APRIL 10: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Shahzad Alam, today chaired a meeting of officers to review preparedness for  100-day intensive campaign under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan ( NMBA) aimed at curbing drug abuse in the district.

During the meeting, the DC reviewed the operational and awareness preparedness and discussed the action plan for organising awareness programmes across the district as part of the campaign.

The meeting was informed that a series of awareness activities involving students, youth, volunteers, civil society organisations and the general public will be conducted to generate mass awareness against drug abuse.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC emphasised the need for coordinated efforts among departments and called for active participation of educational institutions, youth groups and community members to make the campaign successful.

The DC further directed officers to ensure effective implementation of the campaign at the grassroots level and encourage community participation to make the initiative a mass movement against the drug menace.
