
ANANTNAG, APRIL 10: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr. Bilal Mohiud Din Bhat today chaired a meeting of the Revenue Department to review its functioning, besides smooth execution of government priorities.
During the proceedings, the DC took a detailed stock of the digitization process and the uploading of backlog mutations and issued instructions for their completion within the specified timeframe. On technical progress, the meeting was informed that against a target of 90686 back log mutations, 12559 have been uploaded and 10648 approved so far, with the DC emphasizing the need to upload and approve the remaining mutations in a time bound manner.
On the occasion, the DC directed Tehsildars to identify the terror victims, who have lost family members or got permanently disabled due to terror incidents so they can be provided the housing benefits. He stressed that the identification process be completed within three days positively adding any previous government support should not impede their eligibility for these new benefits.
Regarding key public and strategic assets, the DC asked the revenue officers to immediately resolve Right of Way (RoW) issues affecting telecom towers, Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), Panchayat amenities, and other vital infrastructure facilities. He remarked telecom upgradation remains a top priority of the government and administrative working must be aligned with these priorities.
Furthermore, the DC directed the completion of the mutations for land already transferred to telecom companies to ensure the seamless installation of towers and related infrastructure across the district.
ADC, ACR, SDMs, Tehsildars and other concerned officials attended the meeting.
