
DODA, APRIL 10: A grand Awareness Rally was organized today by the School Education Department, marking the culmination of the 3-day Divisional Level Awareness Programme. The rally commenced from Government Higher Secondary School Boys and marched towards the Sports Stadium via Clock Tower. A large number of students, officials and the general public participated in the Rally.
The event was attended by MLA Doda West Shakti Raj Parihar; ADC Anil Kumar Thakur; ASP Headquarters Mohd Aslam; Joint Director Education Mohd Asfaq; DYSP Headquarters Krishan Rattan; CEO Bhushan Kumar Pathak; Dr. Anis Ahmed along with School heads and officials from the Health, Traffic and other Departments.
The programme was effectively coordinated by District Nodal Officer Education Department Umesh Kumar, who ensured smooth execution and active participation across all levels.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADC emphasized the district administration’s firm resolve to make all 237 panchayats of Doda drug-free. He urged students to act as ambassadors of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan and spread awareness about the ill effects of drug abuse. The MLA also called for strict action against drug peddlers and appealed to society to safeguard children from the menace of substance abuse.
The rally witnessed massive participation from students of the government and private schools, who carried banners and placards highlighting themes such as environmental protection, anti-drug campaign and career awareness. Slogans promoting a drug-free society and social responsibility echoed across the town, making the rally a vibrant and impactful awareness drive.
Meanwhile, similar awareness rallies were held in all schools and cluster levels on the identified themes.
The programme concluded with a strong message of unity, youth empowerment and collective responsibility towards building a progressive and drug-free society.
